A) Document Translations
The pricing in Turkish translation industry is charged per 1000 keyboard characters (without space key counts) unit price.
• Unit price varies for each language. This is because the translators of each language work for differing unit prices. The expensiveness of the unit price of a language is directly proportional with the rareness of the qualified translators in such language. For instance, English has the lowest unit price in the market since most number of qualified translators may be employed however the unit price of Chinese or Urdu are quite high due to the very lesser number of qualified translators in the market.
• Calculating the price amount of a document is performed via Tools Word Count Characters (no spaces) tabs under the Microsoft Word Office Program.
• Any document not in MS Word format (PDF, TIFF, JPEG and hardcopies) are transformed to Word format as to inform the client about the probable price.
• Significant discounts are applicable to our long lasting clients, academicians and to certain some high volume projects but under the approval of the respective project managers.
• Any document being translated with Wordfast or Trados, computer aided translation programs, is subject to discount considering the several repetition rates.
Pricing process basically realizes as follows:
Stage 1: Client contacting with us and we receive the job via e-mail, courier or postal services.
Stage 2: Project manager clarifying the number of characters (as aforementioned).
Stage 3: After deducting the client and job specific discounts and calculating the taxes, the fee is computed under the formula number of characters x unit price of the respective language.
B) Oral Translations
The consecutive or simultaneous translation jobs are prices with regard to the duration and quality of the project. Hourly or daily fees are preferred to be convenient for both parties.
