The technical branch of translation covers any wording which defines, or comments on, a machine, product, process or research. Şimşek Tercüme employs about 10 technical translators in house. The technical translators only perform translations of technical/scientific wordings as to continuously increase their specialty and to keep the energy they require (i.e. they do not lose their concentration) for this challenging branch.
We may list the following among the successfully translated wording types: technical brochures, calibration documents, specifications, maintenance and repair booklets, scientific studies, device information documents, industrial and technological training documents, feasibility reports, guarantee specifications, construction and architecture projects, quality documents, manuals of use, patent files, standardization documents, declarations of conformity and product catalogues.
Şimşek Tercüme employs (i) the young translators graduated from the leading positive sciences of Turkey together with (ii) the experienced specialists (mostly retired engineers) who have proven themselves in technical projects thanks to their years lasting experience and ready to provide all their technical information and terminology to the use of the clients.
As a sine qua non of the technical translation, our experienced specialists perform a technical data base study in collaboration with the client before starting a substantial technical translation project. Thus, we ensure only the technical terms preferred by the client to be used and avoid the possible deviations.
While translating or localizing the computer terms, software or applications (and after), we for sure make comparisons with the terms used in accepted or already online recognized software and applications and accordingly reach to a solid and functional localization wording.
To obtain uniform term usage, we, upon the request of the client, make use of Trados and Wordfast programs. In many wordings such programs also mean a cost advantage as well.
